Make sure that the main switch is turned to
“OFF” before checking the operation of the
hydraulic unit.
k. After operating the ABS, repeat steps (e) to
(i), and then fill the brake master cylinder res-
ervoir or brake fluid reservoir to the proper
level with the recommended brake fluid.
l. Tighten the bleed screw to specification.
m. Fill the brake fluid reservoir to the proper level
with the recommended brake fluid.

a. Loosen both locknuts “1”.
b. Turn the adjusting bolt “2” in direction “a” or
“b” until the specified installed shift rod length
is obtained.
c. Tighten both locknuts to specification.
d. Make sure the installed shift rod length is
within specification.

CHECKING THE FINAL GEAR OIL LEVEL
1. Stand the vehicle on a level surface.
TIP
• Place the vehicle on a suitable stand.
• Make sure the vehicle is upright.
2. Loosen:
• Final gear oil check bolt “1”
3. Check:
• Final gear oil level
A small amount of fluid should flow out of the
check hole when the oil check bolt is loos-
ened.
