1. Remove:

• Grease nipples

• Clamp

(except F40G and F70A)

• Ground lead

INSTALLATION

1. Install:

• Steering friction assembly

• Clamp

(except F40G and F70A)

• Bolts (M6)

• Spring washers

• Ground lead

NOTE:

• Do not apply lubricants such as grease to the

friction areas of the steering friction adjuster.

• Make sure that there is clearance

between the steering friction lever and
speedometer hose. (Except F40G and F70A)

Bolt:

8.0 N • m (0.82 kgf • m, 5.9 ft • lb)

2. Check:

• Friction force

Move the friction lever

in direction

Incorrect

Retighten the nut
