Air filter element
Damage

Replace.

4. Clean:

Air filter element
Blow off dust from the outer surface of the ele-
ment with compressed air.

5. Install:

Air filter element

Air filter case cover

Make sure the element is properly seated in the fil-
ter case.

6. Install:

All removed parts

Install all removed parts in reversed order of their
removal.

CARBURETOR JOINT INSPECTION
1. Remove:

Side cowling

Seat

Side cover

Fuel tank
Refer to “COWLINGS, SEAT, TAIL COVER
AND FUEL TANK”.

Air filter case
Refer to “AIR FILTER CASE”.

2. Inspect:

Carburetor joints 1
Cracks / Damage

Replace.

Refer to “CARBURETOR” in CHAPTER 6.

3. Install:

All removed parts

Install all removed parts in reversed order of their
removal.
