Measurement steps:
Crank over the engine with the throttle wide-
open until the reading on the compression
gauge stabilizes.
Before cranking the engine, ground all spark
plug leads to prevent sparking.
Repeat the previous steps for the other cylin-
ders.
The difference of compression pressure between
the highest and lowest cylinder compression
readings should be 100 kPa (1 kg / cm
2
, 1 bar) or
less.
