INSPECTION
1. Inspect:

Shift fork cam follower  1

Shift fork pawl  2
Scoring /Bends/Wear / Damage 

 Replace.

2. Inspect:

Guide bar
Roll the guide bar on a flat surface.
Bends 

 Replace.

Do not attempt to straighten a bent guide bar.

3. Check:

Shift fork movement
(on its guide bar)
Unsmooth operation 

 Replace the fork and

guide bar.

4. Inspect:

Shift cam grooves
Wear / Damage / Scratches 

 Replace.

Shift cam segment  1
Damage / Wear 

 Replace.

Shift cam bearing  2
Pitting/ Damage 

 Replace.

5. Measure:

Axle runout (main and drive)
Use a centering device and dial gauge  1 .
Out of specification 

 Replace.

Runout limit:

0.08 mm
