ˆ Do not position this apparatus in a location with direct exposure to sunshine.
ˆ Do not position this apparatus in a location exposed to dust and/or high humidity.

Do not place equipment, books, or papers on top of the transceiver. Also, provide a few centimeters of space on either
side of the transceiver.
ˆ Ensure adequate ventilation around this apparatus, so as to prevent heat build-up and possible reduction of performance
due to high heat.
ˆ Do not install this apparatus in a mechanically-unstable location, or where objects may fall onto this product from
above.
ˆ To minimize the possibility of interference to home entertainment devices, take all precautionary steps including sepa-
ration of TV/FM antennas from Amateur transmitting antennas to the greatest extent possible, and keep transmitting
coaxial cables separated from cables connected to home entertainment devices.
ˆ Ensure that the AC power cord is not subject to undue stress or bending, which could damage the cable or cause it to be
accidentally unplugged from the rear panel AC input jack.
ˆ Be absolutely certain to install your transmitting antenna(s) such that they cannot possibly come in contact with TV/FM
radio or other antennas, nor with outside power or telephone lines.
Use a short, thick, braided cable
to connect your station equipment
to the buried ground rod (or alter-
native earth ground system).

Be sure that the FT-2000D ’s [ POWER
] switch and
the FP-2000 ’s [ POWER
] switch are both turned
off before you plug or unplug any power cable to/
from the
FP-2000 . This will avoid the possibility
of potentially-damaging spikes or electrical shock.
