Carrier Card to SOM Standoff Press-fit Process

The carrier card to SOM interface requires a 5 mm (height) mechanical stand-off.

In cases where there is an expectation that the SOM will be removed from the carrier card, the
recommended solution is to use the following Samtec JSOM. The Samtec JSOM-0515-01
standoffs require a press-fit process to install them onto the PCB. The JSOM standoff press-fit
recommended parameters are shown the following table and the press profile is shown in the
following diagram.
