Repairs and Adjustments
Initial Issue
ADJ 11.1 Sorter Bin Cam Position
Purpose
The purpose is to allow the Sorter Bin Cam to rise and lower the Bin Trays correctly.
NOTE: The Front and Rear Bin Cams are virtually identical. However, the Rear Bin Cam has a
Switch Actuator attached. For this reason, this adjustment procedure is written to apply to both
Bin Cams. When adjusting the Front Bin Cam, disregard any references to the switch actuator.
Check
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair or adjustment activities with
the power switch on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1.
Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2.
Remove the Sorter Rear/Front Cover.
3.
Remove the rear/front Bin Spring.
4.
Be sure that all Bin Trays are in the lowest position. If they are not, move them after
removing the Bin Cam Assembly.
5.
Verify the Bin Cam positioning. (Figure 1)
a.
Verify that each of the Bin Tray arms is fully inserted to the groove in the Bin Cam.
b.
Verify that the hole in the Bin Cam Shaft and the sorter frame align.
c.
Verify that the Bin Cam Switch (Rear Bin Cam only) is in the actuated position by the
raised portion of the switch actuator on the Bin Shaft.

Adjustment
1.
Align the hole in the Bin Shaft with the hole in the Sorter Frame. (Figure 2)

Verify that the Bin Cam Switch is actuated by the raised portion of the switch actuator on
the Bin Shaft (Rear Bin Cam only).
3.
Move the bevel gear upward and engage it with the upper Gear.
4.
Install the KL-Clip as shown in Figure 2.
5.
Reattach the Spring.
6.
Reinstall the Sorter Rear/Front Cover.
