1.3 Setting up PostScript and/or PCL printing with Windows NT 4.0
Select Local Port and click New Port.
Enter the name of the port exactly as follows: \\<printer name>\
<connection>.
‘<printer name>’ refers to the name you specified in the
ENABLE SMB
screens. ‘<connection>’ refers to the print connection you would like to
print to. If your printer has a hard disk drive, you can print to the Direct,
Print, or Hold connections. If your printer does not have a hard disk
drive, the Direct connection only is available.
Click OK.
Click Close in the Printer Ports dialog box.
In the Ports property tab, verify that the port you just added is checked.
To confirm the connection, you can print a Windows NT test page.
Click the General tab, and click Print Test Page.
If the test page prints successfully, you are ready to print from the
computer.
Click OK to close the Printer Properties dialog box.
