WARNING:
The axle coupling must be fitted correctly. An incor-
rectly mounted axle coupling can come loose while riding and lead to
accidents with life-threatening injuries.
a) Unscrew the axle nut on the left side of the rear wheel counterclockwise.
⚠
WARNING:
Do not remove the lock washer (2). It prevents the rear
wheel from twisting in the dropouts. Riding without lock washers
can lead to accidents with life-threatening injuries.
b) Fit the axle coupling onto the axle without removing the lock washer.
c) Thread the axle nut onto the axle thread by making at least five complete turns.
⚠
WARNING:
Less than five full turns of the thread will not ensure
sufficient clamping force of the rear wheel, which can lead to accidents
with life-threatening injuries. The quick release axle is then too short
and must be replaced. This is available as an accessory. Contact a spe-
cialist workshop.
d) Align the rear wheel and tighten the axle nut to the torque specified in your bicycle
manual. Hold the axle link firmly.
e) Finally, try sliding the rear wheel in the hooks to make sure that it is correctly fixed.
⚠
WARNING:
The rear wheel must be correctly fixed after mounting
the axle coupling. An incorrectly fastened rear wheel can lead to ac-
cidents with life-threatening injuries when riding. Observe the operating
instructions for your towing bicycle. If in doubt, consult a specialist
workshop.
AT TACHING THE SAFETY PENNANT
(CONFIGURATION OF THE BICYCLE TRAILER)
To make your bicycle trailer more visible to other road users, always use the supplied
safety pennant. This increases your safety and that of your child. The safety pennant is
inserted into a special slot in the handle joint on the left side of the trailer.
⚠
WARNING:
If you use the bicycle trailer as a bicycle trailer, the
safety pennant must always be fitted. Without the safety pennant, the
bicycle trailer could easily be overlooked in road traffic, which could
lead to accidents with life-threatening injuries.
NOTE: When folding the trailer, the safety pennant must be removed beforehand. Oth-
erwise the pennant mast may break.
AT TACHING THE TRAILER TO THE BIKE
(CONFIGURATION OF THE BIKE TRAILER)
⚠
WARNING:
Check whether the towing bike is approved by the
manufacturer for towing trailers! Pulling trailers with an unsuitable towing
bike can lead to frame fractures and accidents with lifethreatening
injuries.
Hooking up must always be carried out without the child in the trailer.

b) Lift the drawbar and slide the drawbar head onto the connector mounted on the hub
