Parameterization of limit value relays
(R models)
The "PARA UL/LL" submenu allows to determine the following values for the limiting contacts a
control function has been assigned to in the configuration level:
1. Limiting value
SP UL/LL
2. Hysteresis
HYST UL/LL
3 Delay time
DL UL/LL
4. Error message
MESSAGE ON/OFF
Note:
In the "PARA UL/LL" submenu, only those limiting value functions appear which have
been selected during the configuration of the instrument.
(Configuration level
⇒
Submenu "CONF RELAYS")
1. Limit value:
Input of a value at which the corresponding contact is to operate.
A relay configured as UL = upper limit operates when the measured value
passes the adjusted limit value from above.
A relay configured as LL = lower limit operates when the measured value
passes the adjusted limit value from below.
2. Hysteresis:
The hysteresis is a ± tolerance range symmetrically around the adjusted
limit value, which the measured value has to run through additionally until the
relay operates.
3. Delay time:
The time by which the limit contact operates delayed after an event has
happened (also for switching back a contact).
4. Error message:
Decision whether the event the limit contact has been configured for will
be displayed in the message line.
Note:
Input of these 4 values is subject to restricted guidance. These points have to be
run through even if no setting of hysteresis and delay time is intended (values = 0).
