Short Instruction - Operation
77
All the instrument's functions are found in 3 levels of hierarchy, in order to guarantee a clear and
easily comprehensible structure.
The lower level is the CONFIGURATION.
In this area, the functions of the monitor are laid down. This is made after the instrument has
been installed, often only once during the initial setup. If the configuration is to be changed, all
configuration submenus have to be run through (restricted guidance) to make sure that all required
values are supervised, and correctly adjusted, respectively. Access is controlled by a code
number.
The medium level is the PARAMETERIZATION.
Here the measuring ranges, limiting values etc. are input. This action occurs more often than
the configuration. Access to the parameterization level is also contolled by a code number.
The upper level is the OPERATION LEVEL.
Here configuration and parameterization can be displayed without code number while the
measurement is going on. Without access control the operation modes MEASUREMENT and
CALIBRATION can be selected. Additionally, further measuring dates can be called up and error
messages can be read and accepted. To facilitate operation, a user guide is displayed which
shows the keys to be pressed.
This structure is to ensure that the user can operate an instrument with universal possibilities,
which can be adjusted so that unintentional or deliberate interventions cannot easily disturb the
reliable measuring operation.
Note:
When putting the instrument into operation start with chapter "CONFIGURATION",
then go to "PARAMETERIZATION" and after that change to "OPERATION LEVEL".
