9 Analytical Quality Assurance (AQA)
The analytical quality assurance (AQA) can be perfor-
med in two steps:
●
AQA1: monitoring of the photometer
●
AQA2: monitoring of the total system (photometer,
accessories and the operator's way of working)
The AQA mode must be activated in the photometer.
In the delivery state it is switched off.
The AQA mode is activated by:
●
Inserting the AQA MemoChip and performing an
AQA check measurement
– monitoring the total system (AQA2)
– monitoring the photometer (AQA1)
●
Using a menu to select
– monitoring the photometer (AQA1)
– monitoring the total system (AQA2)
After the AQA mode has been activated, the AQA
check menu item appears in the setup menu perma-
nently.
The measured values are identified with AQA1/AQA2
and the remaining time (countdown) up to the next
due AQA check.
AQA1 photometer monitoring and AQA2
method-specific system monitoring are con-
ducted completely separately in the pho-
tometer.
See also part 1 General information of this
operating manual for further information on
