Prestart Setup Procedure
Connect the Hand Held Programmer to the Diagnostics and Service Port. Apply
power to the DSLC control. Verify that the DSLC control passes its power up
diagnostics by checking that Diagnostic Result on Menu 0 is 49. Failure to get 49
indicates that an internal component in the DSLC control is defective. See
Chapter 10 for instructions on getting service for the control.
Configuration Menu
Select Menu 5 and adjust the Configuration Key to 49. Set the following set
points to their appropriate value as described above.

2. CT
Rating
3. PT Voltage Input
4. Voltage
Display
5. System
Frequency
6. Process Control Action (If process used)
7. Network
Address
Prestart Synchronizer Setup
Set all Synchronizer, Menu 1, set points according to the descriptions above and
the work sheet. Leave unknown values, such as Gain and Stability, at their
default values.
Prestart Load Control Setup
Set all Load Control, Menu 2, set points according to the descriptions above and
the work sheet. Proportional load control mode should be used during initial
setup of the DSLC control. Set the Unload Trip set point to approximately 10% of
rated load.
Prestart Process Control Setup
Set all Process Control, Menu 3, set points according to the descriptions above
and the work sheet. If Gain and Stability values are unknown, leave at their
default values.
Prestart VAR/Power Factor Control Setup
Set all VAR/Power Factor Control, Menu 4, set points according to the
descriptions above and the work sheet. Set VAR/PF Control Mode to Disabled
until doing the VAR/PF Control adjustment section below.
