Blade Deflection
Perform the following steps to achieve proper blade deflection with the blade guides.
1.
Raise the carriage until the blade is 15" (375 mm) above a bed rail. Measure the distance
from the top of the rail to the bottom of the blade.
See Figure 7-30.
Loosen the clamp bolts. Turn the top adjustment bolt counterclockwise
to lower the blade guide assembly so the blade guide deflects the blade down and the
bottom of the blade measures 14 3/4" (370 mm) from the bed rail. Tighten the clamp
bolts.
2.
Repeat for the other blade guide.
