Use the following steps to install a new software package into the iAM-VIDEO:
1.
If the iAM-VIDEO update package file is in the computer running the Web
GUI, you may simply drag it into the box on the screen as indicated or use
the
Add Files
button to select it. Then skip to Step 4.
2.
Insert the USB flash drive with iAM-VIDEO update package(s) into the front
panel USB jack. Refer to the
Download the Software
section of this chapter
for the specifics of download and file transfer to the USB flash drive.
3.
A list of update file packages present on the USB drive will appear in the
Description
field area shown in Figure A-1, along with software
Version
number(s). Click on the one you want to use. If the “
USB flash drive does
not contain …
” message below appears, the system has the latest software
in it, and no further action is required or possible.
4.
Click the
Update System
button.
5.
The Web GUI will indicate progress of the software installation and results.
Be prepared for the update to take some time, perhaps 15 minutes or so.
6.
The iAM-VIDEO will prominently display the message, "Software Upgrade in
Progress" and when the upgrade is complete it will reboot.
7.
The iAM- VIDEO is finished upgrading and rebooting after the Power indicator
returns to its green color and the front panel display is back to normal. The
flash drive may now be removed from the iAM-VIDEO unit.
8.
After the iAM- VIDEO reboots, either
Refresh
the browser by clicking on the
Wohler logo, or close and reopen the browser for normal operation of the
Web GUI.
This completes the software upgrade.
Important:
Do not interrupt or remove power to the iAM-AUDIO, or remove
the USB drive during the installation process.
Doing so could crash
the iAM-VIDEO software.
