CHAPTER 2: Local Operation
Local vs Remote Operation
The iAM-VIDEO can be operated locally or remotely. Locally, all of the monitoring
functions are available, as well as a limited set of programmable options, as
described in this chapter. It may be operated remotely in two ways, via the Wohler
Web GUI or by third party equipment via Application Programming Interface (API)
commands. The Wohler Web GUI is described in Chapter 4 of this manual. The API
commands are described in Appendix D of this manual.
Startup
The iAM-VIDEO unit will begin its startup process when it is connected to power
through its external power supply. There is no power switch. It is normal for the
product to require just over a minute to start up and be ready to use.
When the iAM-VIDEO unit completes its startup, the
Power
indicator will turn
green. Depending upon optional settings, all channel clusters will either be in the
muted condition or set in a predetermined way. You may then touch the meter
clusters on the screen to mute, unmute, or solo channel clusters as needed.
Front Panel
The front panel is shown in Figure 2-1.
