Rectification of faults
Fault
Possible cause
Remedy
The pump runs irregularly (can be
noticed by dif
ferences in up and
down stroke speeds)and does not
reach the required pressure.

The viscosity of the spraying ma-
terial is too high (suction losses).

Dilute the spraying material.
–
Use a bigger pump.
–
Suction system leaking (
uctua-
tions in spray jet).
–
Check the packings on all screw
ttings
of the suction pipe or the suction hose,
replace if necessary (see spare parts
list for suction line or direction suction).
–
Bottom valve leaking (pump only
stops in upward stroke when the
spray gun is closed).
–
Unscrew the bottom valve, thorough-
ly clean ball and seat, if necessary
replace ball or valve seat.
–
Piston valve leaking (pump only
stops in downward stroke when
the spray gun is closed).
–
Clean ball and valve in the double
piston, replace ball and valve seat as
necessary
.
–
Bottom or top packing leaking
(wear)
–
Replace the packing.
Material escapes from the over
ow
on the air motor
.

Packing worn.
–
Replace the packing.
