If you want to weld with additional cylinder (machine type WM8-2), then put the additional cylinder onto
the clamping tools now (chapter: 4.6).
Preset all <pressure controller 12, 14 + 15> in a way that they are below the nominal pressure
(see welding tables) for aligning, cooling / joining in order that the pressure may be correctly
adjusted during welding.
Move the <Control lever 13> successively onto the symbols: / / , the tables move
accordingly; at the same time adjust the respective <Pressure regulator: 12, 14 or 15>, the
pressure is indicated on the pressure gauge.

Open tables with clamped pipes, <joystick 13> on: .
6.2. Welding process with SPA 600
6.2.1. Drag pressure measurement

When the pressure is >2 bar, the SPA will switch from basic menu to drag pressure measurement.

Slowly press <joystick 13> on:

As soon as the machine starts moving with the pipes, the drag
pressure is shown on the pressure gauge (possibly rev up the <pressure controller 11> slightly at the same
time until the machine shuts).

The drag pressure must be determined properly since a too high pressure on small pipe diameters leads to
incorrect joining forces.

Release the valve lever.
Drag pressure must be at least 3 bars!

P0=0 Pi=4
Display of the actual pressure
P0 = desired pressure; Pi = actual pressure
When pressing <Enter>, the actual pressure is taken over as drag pressure.
