Section 3.1 Service

Problem: Missing lines in printout (See sample at right)
Possible causes: 1. Flash on paper feed slot.
2. Nine pin flex connector cold solder joints
3. Printer element damaged
4. Printer driver defective bad (LB1256)
Repair:
1. CAUTION:
Prior to doing any work:
Unplug power cord.
Use grounding mat and grounding strap.
3. Disassemble stand to step #3 (Removing top housing, page 5)
4. Check bottom of top housing slot to be sure there is no flash (see fig below) that may cause the paper
to feed improperly. If ok, go on to the next step. If there is flash, replace the top housing with a new
one, assemble printer/charger and check.
