DEFINITION

Carrier gas

A gas chosen to propel the sampled gas mixture through
the analytical column.

Gas mixture

A mixture of two or more pure gases

Flame Ionization Detector (TCD)

A detector used to measuregas levels in a chromatogram

Server

Any computer with WellWizard Server software installed
on it.

ANAX Server

A server with WellWizard Server software (WellWizard
Server) and a data acquisition card installed.

Baseline 8900

A FID chromatograph made by Baseline

Support Gases

Other gases required in order for the detector to operate
