step 1: instAlling the Wing tip skiDs
❑
Cut away the covering material from over the wing tip skid mounting slots
in the bottom of the bottom wing, then fit and glue the two wing tip skids into
place.
step 2: instAlling the eleCtroniC speeD Control
❑
If your ESC features an on/off switch, mount it in a convenient place on
the side of the fuselage.
❑
Mount your ESC to the fuselage side, directly behind the firewall, using
a piece of double-sided foam tape (not included).
PRO TIP
Depending on the length of your ESCs battery wires, you may
want to solder longer wires into place to make it easier to plug in and
unplug your battery.
❑
Plug the servo and ESC leads into their proper slots in your receiver, then
mount your receiver to bottom of the cockpit floor, underneath the servos,
using a piece of double-sided foam tape (not included).
❑
Run the antenna out the bottom of the cockpit and secure it along the
bottom of the fuselage, using pieces of clear tape (not included).
Do not
cut the antenna shorter. Allow the excess to hang beyond the back of
the fuselage.
❑
Join the two aileron servo leads using a Y-harness and push the excess wires up into the wing through the servo lead exit holes.
Use a couple of pieces of clear tape (not included) to secure the aileron servo lead to the cabane strut where it enters the cockpit.
step 3: instAlling the reCeiVer
❑
To make it easier to install and remove the battery, make a handle out of
a length of strapping tape (or other type of strong tape) and firmly adhere it
to your battery.
step 4: instAlling the bAttery
❑
Mount the battery to the fuselage floor, directly behind the firewall, using
a piece of hook and loop material (not included).
