step 4: instAlling the Aileron linkAge Assembly
❑
Install the aileron linkage assemblies, using the same techniques that
you used to install the elevator and rudder linkage assemblies.
☞
Notice that the servo arms are mounted toward the middle of the wing,
so that the pushrods line up with the control horns.

step 1: instAlling the CAbAne strut mounting brACkets
IMPORTANT
Pilot holes have been predrilled into the fuselage for the front cabane strut mounting brackets. You should be able
to see the pilot holes underneath the covering material if you look carefully. To line up the rear cabane strut mounting brackets,
use the pilot holes predrilled in the center wing fairing.
❑
Install the two 90º front aluminum cabane strut mounting brackets
(A)
to the fuselage, using two M2 x 8mm wood screws, then install the two 45º
rear aluminum cabane strut mounting brackets
(b)
to the top of the center
wing fairing, using two M2 x 8mm wood screws.
IMPORTANT
Position the brackets toward the outside of the fuselage
and make sure that they're lined up straight.
step 2: instAlling the CAbAne struts AnD outer Wing struts
IMPORTANT
Notice that when mounted, the cabane struts should angle in toward the middle of the wing and that the single
angle cut
(A)
on each cabane strut should be toward the trailing edge of the wing.
❑
Install the right and left cabane struts to the bottom of the wing, using
four M2 x 8mm wood screws. Pilot holes have been predrilled to mount the
cabane struts, just to the outside of the servo lead exit holes.
IMPORTANT
Before installing the wood screws, apply a drop of thin
C/A to harden the surrounding plywood.
