Important:
Ensure that the adhesive joint does not lie in the curved area
of the groove in order to avoid additional stress on the bonded adhesive
joint. When attaching the sealing, attention must be paid to a central
alignment in the groove. Glue residues outside the groove must be
removed immediately. The upward facing (free) round cord surface must
be free of adhesive residue to ensure optimum sealing.
Important:
The gluing areas must be clean. It must be ensured that the O-
ring sealing cord is tension-free and not twisted before bonding. The
adhesive joint should subsequently be stressed as little as possible
(bending, tension).
Option Vaseline (petroleum jelly): Apply a small amount of Vaseline to the O-ring
sealing cord using a Vaseline soaked paper towel. Place the O-ring in the groove.
Wipe off excess Vaseline with a paper towel. Advantage: The O-ring and the
groove can be cleaned more easily.
Then cut the O-ring sealing cord

with a sharp blade so that the end faces of
the two ends can be placed butt to butt. The ends do not need to be glued if there
is no gap between the end faces.
Important:
Be sure to use a sharp blade to achieve the smoothest possible
cut surface. The cut surface must be perpendicular to the cord axis.
