The PowerVat is designed to store printing material for longer periods. Between
two printing processes please ensure that the liquid printing resin is not permeated
with cured material, as this can lead to poor printing results. In the case of using
sedimenting materials (especially model materials), the material should be stirred
with a suitable instrument (no sharp edges) to avoid uneven printing results or
misprints caused by non-homogeneously distributed material.
To avoid cross-contamination due to material changes, it is recommended to
always use the same printing resins with one PowerVat or to clean the vat
thoroughly before refilling another material (see section
To maximize the lifespan of your PowerVat, do not use sharp, pointed or abrasive
tools or cleaning materials to clean the vat, as this may damage it. In order to
remove material residues carefully and completely, we recommend a dull silicone
spatula, microfiber tissues or paper towels and isopropanol (purity min. 95%). First,
clean the aluminum surfaces and remove any resin residues. Use clean paper
towels and glass cleaner to clean the glued-in glass on the underside. Avoid
fingerprints and streaks on the glass surface. Clean the top surface of the film
regularly with an isopropanol-soaked cloth. Do not apply too much pressure to
minimize wear.
Always ensure a clean and dust-free working environment to allow for proper
cleaning and maintenance of your PowerVat. Use only oil- and grease-free
compressed air. Make sure that there are no persons in the airflow when using
compressed air.
In order to thoroughly clean the PowerVat between printing material changes or
when replacing the film, it is necessary to perform one or more of the steps
described below. Please take care of the instructions for cleaning the PowerVat
components.
