Avoid large distances between the material bottle and the PowerVat while
inserting the printing resin as this leads to increased bubble formation. Bubbles
may be imaged during the printing process of the object leading to faulty prints.
Spilled printing resin should be immediately wiped with a cloth. Lingering printing
material may polymerize if not removed immediately and, in the worst case, leads
to damage of the SolFlex 3D printer. If it is not possible to wipe away spilled
material immediately, unwanted polymerization can be delayed by covering the
3D printing material.
Important:
Never fill the vat beyond the maximum mark, as otherwise
material could get
into the printer’s interior during the printing process
which could lead to damage. Overfilling the PowerVat excludes the
manufacturer's warranty.
Caution:
Do not fill printing resin into the printer unless the vat is correctly
installed in the printer. The material may cause damage to the printer. Also
make sure that no printing material comes into contact with the VDFS (on
SolFlex PLUS models).
Before starting a print job (see SolFlex Operating Instructions section "The Print
Menu"), you will be prompted to select a
BuildStyle
. A
BuildStyle
contains basic
settings for the printing process and must always be selected according to the
type of vat used. Before each print, make sure that a
PowerVat
BuildStyle
is
selected to allow a successful print job. Otherwise, the PowerVat will not be
properly locked in the printer resulting in faulty printing results or even damage
to the PowerVat or the 3D printer.
