CORRECTION OF PLATTER FLATNESS ON SH65
On the SH65, in view of the dimensions of the printing plate, it can have flatness imperfections more easily.
Correction screws are therefore present in various places of it in order to be able to manually correct the flatness.
The 4 screws of each angle are fixed and aligned (in yellow below), and all the others can vary up to 1mm below the
level of the angle screws in order to compensate for any bumps or deformations (in red below). below). Use a
screwdriver or a 2mm Allen key to correct the desired areas. Do not lose sight that these adjustment screws are very
sensitive, one turn is equivalent to 0.5mm, so for corrections of the order of a tenth, less than a quarter turn must
be made.
Wear safety gloves to avoid any risk of being cut by the tray during handling.
Z COMPENSATION FUNCTION
In order to correct and refine your setting more easily, the VOLUMICS have a "Z height compensation" function on
the first layer. This is accessible from the printer's home screen (during the printing of the first layer only) via the
"Adjust Z" button. With this function you can in real time raise or lower the position of the head within a certain
limit (apply an offset to it in a way), which allows you to instantly correct the zero point without having to stop,
readjust and restart the print . However
, this setting is only valid for this print, and this “offset” will be reset to zero
at the end of the print.
On the other hand, the correction value that you are going to adjust will give you a good clue to definitively modify
your adjustment with the "Trimer" after printing. For example, if you need to add 0.20mm with the Z compensation
function (the adjustment Trimer having a modification value of 0.5mm per revolution), you will know to turn the
Trimer clockwise ( to mount the head) by about a third of a turn in order to have the same final setting.
