Two people should normally accomplish this conversion process in 6-8 hours (or less). There must be ample
room around the machine for the water tank removal. It is recommended that you have good quality water
when attempting to produce crushed ice. If the ice is opaque and cloudy, it is subject to clog the cutter
mechanism, restrict ice discharge, and bind the cutter. Also, you should not attempt to produce crushed ice
when the makeup water temperature is below 50
F (10
C). Colder water can cause a build-up of ice fines in the
tank and eventually result in “short
-cycling.
”
