3.3.8 Network
The Network section displays the HDR-5000 current settings, including:
IP
Address
Subnet
Mask
Gateway
Domain Name Server
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Activation
You are able to modify these settings for the HDR-5000 in the System Settings Web page. Select
Setup
and
System Settings
from the Dashboard menus.
3.3.9 SNR (DB)
The SNR section provides a dynamic graphical display of the demodulator Signal to Noise Ratio as a
function of the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) which is a measurement of the power present in
a received radio signal, measured in decibels (dB). This display also provides a real time status of the
demodulator received signal strength from each of the block downconverters linked to the HDR-5000.
The demodulation Signal to Noise Ratio to Received Signal Strength Indication is dynamically displayed
as follows:
< 5 displays a red bar graph
5-10 displays an amber bar graph
10+ displays a blue bar graph
3.3.10 Modulation Status
The Modulation Status fields show information about demodulated signal.
Modulation Mode
This field displays the Modulation Mode selected for the current preset, for instance DVB-T or
Digital
Video Broadcasting — Terrestrial
as a digital transmission delivers data in a series of discrete blocks at
the symbol rate. DVB-T is a COFDM transmission technique which includes the use of a Guard Interval. It
allows the receiver to cope with strong multipath situations.
Modulation
The Modulation field shows whether the signal is modulated using 16QAM or QPSK. This field displays
the modulation classes that can be selected for each preset created in the Presets page. This list is
combines the values for DVB-T modulations.
