5.6 Operation with automatic fuel feed
Function
The fuel feed is carried out dependant upon the light barriers in the dosing container
and in the combustion chamber, whilst also taking the residual oxygen into account.
The primary and secondary air vents change their settings depending on the exhaust
gas temperature and the residual oxygen content.
The controller drives the combustion process along a ramp to the boiler temperature.
When there is a higher consumer demand then the boiler temperature is held in
automatic mode.
If the burner temperature set is reached, then the system switches to "empty auger".
After the feed auger has been emptied and the exhaust gas temperature has dropped
below 90°C, the exhaust gas blower switches off and the air vents close.
If the system temperature should drop below the "target value" then the system is
automatically started again.
5.6.1 Heating system with storage as hydraulic switcher
Function
The heating system can be kept in a continuous power operation for as long as
possible by means of the target value "Storage management storage temperature -
medium". The result of this is fewer ignition cycles, improved efficiency and lower
emissions.
If an (optional) storage control valve is also installed in the system then an optimal
utilisation of the residual boiler heat can also be achieved due to the exact temperature
stratification in the storage.
5.6.2 Filling fuel storage with rotary sweep extractor and spring core extractor
Heating system is
in operation
1. If the rotary sweep or spring plates are covered with fuel:
Fill fuel directly.
1. If the rotary sweep or spring plates are not covered with fuel:
Fill the silo steadily up to approx. 30 cm over the rotary sweep or spring plates
respectively.
2. As soon as a fuel demand causes fuel to be drawn into the rotary sweep or spring
plates, filling can resume.
