Care and maintenance
3.6.1
General notes
To ensure proper functionality, the flush valve must be inspected once
per month and maintained once per year, see
If it is connected to a building control system, set the BCS in such a
way to provide for checks of the regular water exchange in the respec-
tive pipeline section, see

This guarantees the smooth operation and proper functionality of the
flush valve. In this way, you prevent stagnation of the water in the con-
nected pipeline sections and any resulting deterioration of the drinking
water.
If the flush valve is not connected to a building control system or
another higher-level control, you need to carry out an additional inspec-
tion once per week.
