The SBX IP 320 system and this program can be connected in three ways, Serial, Modem, or
LAN.
Serial Port Connection with SBX IP 320
System
For the serial port connection between the PC and the SBX IP 320 system, there must be a
physical connection with RS-232C standard serial cable.
•
The pins used in connection cable should be connected as follows;
[Transmit] : [Transmit] of SBX IP 320 and [Transmit] of PC must be connected.
[Receive] : [Receive] of SBX IP 320 and [Receive] of PC must be connected.
[Ground] : [Ground] of SBX IP 320 and [Ground] of PC must be connected.

The length of connection cable depends on the communication environment of the
system. In normal conditions, the cable length is limited to 15 meters. In better
conditions, a 30-meter cable can be used.
•
If the SBX IP 320 system is connected to the serial port on the MPB, select one of the
transmission rates - 2400bps, 4800bps, or 9600bps.
