BEFORE RIDING

Before each ride with the VELLO bike:

  Wear a suitable bicycle helmet, even if it is not mandatory.

  Inform yourself about the legal regulations of the country in which you will be using the 

bike and make sure to comply with all those regulations.

  For VELLO Bike+: make sure to observe country-specific regulations for operating e-bikes 

and pedelecs.

  Always wear appropriate clothing (light clothing for better visibility, tight trouser legs or 

trouser clips, no loose clothing or long skirts that may get in the way of the wheels or the 
ride).

  Wear shoes with a non-slip and stiff sole.

  Do not ride free-handed.

  Do not ride with headphones, do not talk on the phone or ride if you are impaired through 

drugs or alcohol.

  Check that the seating, slide-in shaft and quick releases are firm and securely tightened 

before each ride. 

  Always drive defensively and be considerate when riding to keep others and yourself safe.  

  Regularly check the tightness of the screws and components and comply with the specified 

tightening torques.

  Check the brake system for function and wear (brake flanks, brake linings, brake disc).

  Always adapt your riding style to the weather condition. Note that the braking distance 

can be considerably longer on wet or smooth surfaces.

  Always adjust your speed to the terrain and your riding ability.

  Pay attention to damage and wear on your VELLO bike.

  When folding and unfolding your VELLO bike, do not place your hands and fingers in an 

area where they could get caught or pinched.

  Always ensure correct folding or unfolding to prevent possible accidents and injuries.

  Check the tire pressure regularly.

  Regularly check the frame, fork and controls for proper operation and material fatigue.

Do not use your VELLO bike after a fall or accident until it has been checked for damage by 
your dealer.

Visitez www.vello.bike/ensupport pour trouver des

Retirez votre VELLO Bike verticalement (vers le 
haut) de l’emballage. Placez le VELLO Bike sur 
le sol.

Poussez les extrémités du guidon dans le tube 
principal jusqu’à ce qu’elles ne puissent plus être 
poussées à l’intérieur et fermez le blocage rapide 
rouge (Fig. 1.2 + 1.3).

Ouvrez le serre-câble du tube de direction avec 
une petite pince et retirez l’attelle de sécurité du 
sachet plastique.

Ouvrez maintenant les attaches de câble qui 
fixent les deux extrémités du guidon aux roues.

Insérez les deux extrémités du guidon dans les tubes 
principaux horizontaux (Fig. 1.1). Faites attention à 
la position correcte des extrémités du guidon. Les 
tiges de guidage situées sous le guidon doivent être 
guidées dans les fentes du tube principal. Veuillez 
noter que les tubes principaux ont 3 coupes sur 
les deux côtés. Les deux fraisages à 9 et 15 heures 
servent à serrer les extrémités du guidon. Le fraisage 
à 6 heures est la fente de guidage dans laquelle 
doivent être positionnées les tiges de guidage des 
extrémités du guidon.

DÉPLIAGE

CONSEIL : 

Placez une couverture souple sous 

le VELLO Bike afin d’éviter d’endommager votre 
sol et le VELLO Bike. Retirez soigneusement tous 
les matériaux d’emballage et les emballages de 
protection.

ATTENTION : N’utilisez pas de couteau pour 
ouvrir les colliers de serrage, n’utilisez que 
des pinces adaptées !
