MPEG PLAY Command
(OpCode 0xA5, 12 bytes)
This is an OpCode taken from the
CDROM
PLAY
AUDIO
(12) command which is
used to start decoder playback. This command is the primary mechanism for
controlling decoder playback.
NTSC frame rate is 30 frames per second (29.97Hz Frame Rate). PAL frame rate
is 25 frames per second (25Hz Frame Rate).
Following power-up, the CineCast Quad Pro checks the state of an input discrete
(SMU connector, 15-pin D-Sub on pin 7). If the discrete is open, the default video
standard is NTSC. If the discrete is closed (connected to ground) open, the default
video standard is PAL. To change between video standards, decoder (45h) com-
mand with command code 001Bh must be used.
Error Recovery on Data Under Flow (ErrRcvy)
Determines how the decoder handles a data starvation condition. When set to
zero (default), and when the decoder uses up all data in the DRAM buffer, the
decoder will end playback and force the screen to black. This happens when the
