Software Installation
This section describes installation procedures for Vela API drivers and programs
that communicate with the CineCast Quad Pro decoder.
The Video Playback Controller application, a VCR-like application allowing full
decoder playback capabilities, is also loaded at this time.
Required Operating System
• Microsoft Windows 2000 or NT 4.0 (NT Service Pack 6a).
Minimum System Requirements
See “System Requirements,” page 2.
NOTE: Back up the system as needed before adding new hardware and/or software.
Jumper ID Function or Setting
JP1 Jumper for single power supply. No jumper installed.*
JP2, JP3 Jumper pins 1& 2: No SMU installed *
Jumper pins 2 & 3: SMU installed
JP4 Jumper pins 1 & 2: Single power supply installed
Jumper pins 2 & 3: Dual power supply installed

JP30, JP38 Factory testing only. Not for customer use. May be used
in the future for diagnostic purposes.
JP13 Jumper pins 1 & 2 for genlock termination, Channel 1 *
