• Subnet mask
Subnet mask, compatible with the IP address
In a Class-C net, this is usually 255.255.255.000.
• Standard gateway
Router address
If you do not want to specify a router, enter
000.000.000.000.
• DNS server
Indication of the DNS server
This is required if you wish to use an NTP server and
the name of the NTP server was entered instead of an
IP address.
• Data port
Port for the communication between VDO TerminalSer-
vice and VDO SmartTerminal
Communication with the terminal occurs via this port.
This must be activated in the firewall of the operating
system.
If you have any questions, please contact your network
administrator.
By default, port 8000 is used.
• WLAN
Control box for activating the WLAN mode
• SSID
Name of the WLAN network
Indication for the connection of a VDO SmartTerminal
with the WLAN router
• Password
Password for the WLAN network with which the VDO
SmartTerminal is to connect itself.
Downloads
Under Downloads , all downloads which were downloaded onto this terminal
are displayed. After downloading of a file, it is stored in the central download
directory;

lysed information to be displayed in a dialog.
