Global settings
Under Global Settings , you can configure the following parameters:
Information Description
Serverport This port is used for the communication between the
VDO TerminalTools on the workstations and the
VDO TerminalService.
In order for the VDO TerminalService to be able to com-
municate with the VDO SmartTerminals in a network, ap-
propriate rules must be specified in the firewall on the
server which allow an external connection with the PC.
If the port is in use or is to be changed, it can be adjusted
here.
Download direct-
ory By default, the VDO TerminalService stores al data down-
loaded from a VDO SmartTerminal in its own directory.
If the data is to be stored in another location, this can be
changed here.
IMPORTANT
IMPORTANT
After changing the directory, transfer all data from the old path into the new
path. This task is not performed by the application.
Information Description
Download interval
in minutes The download interval specifies the interval in which the
VDO Terminal Service retrieves data on the
VDO SmartTerminal. If you do not want to use an auto-
matic data retrieval, you can switch off the function with
“0”.
Separate down-
load folder for
each terminal Stores the downloaded data of each VDO SmartTerminals
in a separate folder
