a problem on the VDO SmartTerminal.
The log files are stored in the VDO TerminalService in-
stallation folder under
DB > Logs . A display in the VDO
TerminalTools is not possible.
• Send configuration to terminal
If the VDO SmartTerminal is connected to the system
via network or USB cable, you can use this to send the
current configuration to the VDO SmartTerminal. It is
generally also possible to set in the terminal options
whether the transmission is to be performed automatic-
ally.
You can see in the main window if the current configur-
ation was transferred to the terminal.
• Send software update to terminal
If the VDO SmartTerminal is connected to the system
via network or USB cable, you can use this to transfer a
new software version onto the device which you have
downloaded under
www.smartterminal.vdo.com .
• Update the terminal status
This command allows you to manually retrieve the ter-
minal status. Usually, the VDO TerminalService inde-
pendently updates this status every five seconds.
Should this not be the case, you can perform the up-
date via this command.
• Restart terminal
This command allows you to remotely manually restart
the terminal.
IMPORTANT
The functions for the connection are also available to you via a context menu
by right-clicking on the entry of a terminal.
