Using the slider labelled ’Preference’ image quality can be adjusted to the require-
ments of a particular application or tailored to personal preference. Moving the slider
towards ‘Sharpness’ will improve the spatial resolution of the transmitted video signal.
However, at the same time the frame rate of the transmitted video will decrease. Con-
versely, motion rendition can be enhanced by moving the slider towards ‘Motion’. The
numbers given below the slider are meant to be used as a reference in order to regain
a particular setting.
NetCam6 features a built-in video switcher that provides six inputs for connection of
up to six cameras. The desired camera input is selected by pressing the respective
button. As described later in section 6.7 on page 60 each camera can be individually
named, with the name also being used to label the buttons.
The software automatically recognizes the number of available camera inputs and
disables the camera select buttons for NetCam1 and NetCamPlus.
