12.3 Trouble-Shooting
Fault Cause Action
Machine does not appear on display
(1) after the ON key (2) is pressed
Machine is disconnected from
power supply
Breaker (27) has cut out
Fine-wire fuses (28-30) have
melted
Main switch (16) is not on
Main switch (16) is faulty
EMERGENCY button (17) is
down
Platform- or hood guard is
activated
Electronics board (49) is faulty
Connect machine to power supply
(see section 8.1)
Press in circuit breaker (27)
Replace fuses (28-30).
Switch on main switch (16).
Check main switch (16). Replace.
Release EMERGENCY button (17).
Tilt platform into working position or
close hood
Replace electronics board (49)
(see section 13.2.5).
Machine message on the display
panel (1):
“CAUTION DRY RUN“
Water level too low and heating
switched on
Check if water inlet is set at
automatic (see section 11.1.2).
Check if factory water supply is in
order.
Water not heating properly
Heating element faulty
Heating element furred up
VC999 Customer Service
Clean the heating element, Remove
lime deposits (see section 13.1).
Water temperature or level varying too
much
Automatic water inlet disturbed
by dirt in filter
Clean filter (Fig. 6, Pos. 38) (see
section 13.1).
Water inlet does not shut off promptly
= overflow
Level switch not set correctly
Contact VC999 Customer Service
Immersion platform (18) runs unevenly
when dipping or transporting material
Drive or bearings worn
Have servicing carried out by VC999
Customer Service
When on automatic operation the
immersion platform (18) goes through
immersion cycles, though no product
is fed in
Photocell (21) is defective or
wrongly set
Adjust cell or replace; if necessary

Timing of the movements is not as
desired
Time sequence of the
movements is incorrectly set
