10. Daily Start-Up
NOTICE
The machine may only be used by workers who,
because of their training and knowledge or
practical experience, can ensure satisfactory
working and who are aware of the hazards.
10.1 Bag Material
NOTICE
Only use vacuum bags which have been approved for
hot water shrinkage and the packaged goods. – Please
obtain certification of capability from the film
manufacturer. Always consider the following:
- Resistance to heat
- Strength
- Hygiene regulations
10.2 Preparing Machine
10.2.1 Switching on Machine
Turn main switch (16) to '
l
' position.
Press
ON
key (2) on control panel.

The machine switches on.
−
For a few seconds the machine type is shown on
the display (1).
−
The control system then goes into the basic
mode last set.
−
When the water reaches the working temperature
the machine is ready for use.
−
If within a definite period (pre-set) immersion
cycles have not been started or keys pressed the
control switches off automatically.
10.3 Switching off Machine
After the last products have been conveyed from the
shrink tank press
OFF
(3) key on control panel.
Disconnect power by turning main switch (16) to 'O'
position.
NOTICE
The main switch (16) can be fitted with a lock to prevent
tampering.
11. Programming
The programming of the shrink tank is divided into a
program
level and an ABC level.
11.1 Program Level
See section Flow Diagram level.
11.1.1
Heating
The "HEATING' key (4) brings in the heating menu.
From this point the heating can be switched on with
the
START
key (11) AUTOMATIC or switched off with
the
STOP
key (10).
If the heating is set to AUTOMATIC a * is shown
alongside when the heating is actually on.
11.1.2 Water
Intake
Either setting 'AUTOMATIC' or 'OFF' can be selected.
•
In automatic operation the water intake is automatic.
The control system monitors water level from the
level indicator and controls the water inlet valves
accordingly.
Water intake is stopped at the 'OFF' setting. The level is
not regulated.
11.1.3 Set Temperature of Water
The water temperature can be set between 50
º
C and
100
º
C (122
º
-212
º
F). The display (1) shows both the
set and the actual water temperature.
NOTICE
The set temperature should be chosen with regard to
the vacuum bags used and the product being packed.
11.1.4 Dwell Time
The dwell time is the time for which the immersion
platform (18) and hence the products are immersed in
water. It can be set at 0.0-9.9 sec/10 to 59sec/1.0 to
9.59 min.
NOTICE
The dwell time should be chosen with regard both to
the vacuum bags used and the product being packed.
