Configurable Parameters
As noted, you can only modify a small subset of appliance parameters using the front panel.
All other appliance parameters are modified with VBAdmin. Before you begin, you must
enter a valid PIN to access front panel edit. The PIN (default =
0000
) is a four-digit numeric
string configured in VBAdmin (on the System Configuration > Usernames & Passwords
page). The sequence of navigable screens on the Configuration menu is shown in Table 17.
Changes are applied by pressing

. Note that some parameter changes will automatically
reboot the appliance before the setting is applied.

To configure parameters from the front panel
1. Press the
Mode
button to advance to Configuration mode.
2. Enter a valid PIN (default =
0000
)
3. Press
F4
(Next) or
F1
(Previous) to advance to the parameter you wish to change.
4. Use the arrow keys to "highlight" items and the
Select
button to choose items.
5. Set appliance to Status mode when done.

Reboot

Enter PIN Use the letter keys to enter the current PIN followed by
the Select key. Entering the operator password will not
allow you to change the IP Address, Subnet, or Gateway.
Entering the case-sensitive administrator password
(
admin
) allows you to change all configurable parameters.

Default
Use to set appliance to default parameters.
• None – do not change.
• Factory – sets all parameters to factory defaults
except
System Date and Time.
• All – sets all parameters
except
IP address, Subnet,
Gateway, Usernames & Passwords, System Date and
Time.

DHCP
On/Off
If you enable DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol) the VBrick will reboot and attempt to obtain a
dynamic IP Address from the DHCP server.

IPAddr
Displays the current IP Address of the appliance. If the
current setting is OK, press the Select. Otherwise enter
the correct value and press Select. If you enter an invalid
IP address an error message is displayed on the bottom
line.
