Function Mode
The front panel can be used to execute predefined scripts that activate certain functions on
the appliance. For example you may have a script associated with the
F1
key that enables or
disables a transmit stream. You run a script using the function key that was associated with
that script in VBAdmin. Scripts are saved on the appliance and can be uploaded via FTP.
After navigating to Function mode with the
Mode
button, the front panel displays four
configurable lines of text (one for each Function key) that can be used to describe the
function that the script will perform. This descriptive text is configurable in VBAdmin on the
Configuration > General page.
(5) Subnet Displays current Subnet mask of the appliance. If the
current setting is OK press Select. Otherwise enter
correct value and press Select. If you enter an invalid
subnet mask an error message is displayed on the bottom
line. N
(6) Gateway Displays the current Gateway of the appliance. If the
current setting is OK, press Select. Otherwise enter the
correct value and press Select. If the IP address, Subnet
mask or Gateway IP has been modified and there are no
errors, the appliance will reboot.
If you press Select and a valid gateway was entered, and
the stored network parameters do not match the current
network parameters, the network parameters are changed.
If the change is successful the unit reboots. If the change
fails the bottom line on the LCD displays
Inconsistent
Parms
and you must reenter some combination of IP
address, subnet mask, and gateway.
