3. Both of the air flows contain
air filters
that have a double function. The
first function is to filter the fresh air. The second function is to protect the
entire ventilation unit and fresh air distribution ducts from getting dirty.
4. The
two energy-efficient DC fans
assure firstly the supply of fresh
outdoor air to the living room and bedrooms and, secondly, the removal
of used indoor air from the kitchen, bathroom, toilet(s) and possible store
rooms. The two fans are of the
constant volume control
type, which
means that the set air volume is automatically and continuously regulated.
5. An
automatic frost protection
(also called "defrost cycle") ensures that
the ventilation unit can function frost-free so that a good ventilation
is guaranteed during the winter period. The optional electric preheater
prevents the heat exchanger from freezing up and producing a temporary
imbalance, thus contributing to the antifreeze strategy of the ventilation
unit.
6. The ventilation unit can be operated in several ways:

Automatic regulation on the basis of relative humidity in the
air removed from the home.
The ventilation unit is standard equipped
with an internal humidity sensor that - depending on the general humidity
level in the home - will automatically increase and/or decrease the air flow
of the unit. If humidity rises by more than 2% within a period of 15
seconds, the ventilation unit will automatically switch to mode 2 for a
period of at least 15 minutes and a maximum of 1.5 hours. If within the
period of 15 minutes and 1.5 hours, the moisture content decreases by
5% then the ventilation unit will return to its initial state.
8. The radio device communicates on a radio frequency of 868.3 MHz and
a transmission power of 12.1 dBm.
