MAINTENANCE
WARRANTY
The ventilation unit must be inspected periodically to see if it has become dirty.
Before inspection, the ventilation unit must be shut off by simply pulling the plug from
the socket. The ventilation unit contains turning mechanical parts. When you pull the
plug from the socket, these parts will continue to turn for a few seconds. Therefore
wait around 20 seconds after unplugging the ventilation unit so the components can
come to a standstill.
Make sure that the plug cannot be put back into the socket by some-
one else before you have finished your activities. Insert the plug into
the socket only when the ventilation unit is installed and all parts are
assembled.
Vasco is not liable for harm caused due to failure to observe the safety rules or failure
to comply with the instructions in the manual. You can find the warranty conditions
in the relevant chapter of this manual.
This ventilation unit with heat recovery is designed for ventilating homes.
Specific features of this ventilation unit are:
1. The very high output
heat exchanger
ensures an optimal heat transfer
of the warm used exhaust air to the cooler fresh supplied outdoor air.
The two air flows do not come into contact with one another. By contrast,
during a warm period the heat exchanger will cool off the warm outdoor
air with the cooler indoor air.
2. During the warm summer period, the ventilation unit makes use of the
standard-equipped
full bypass
in order to apply
free-cooling
. When
the bypass is activated, the cool air at night is diverted around the heat
exchanger. As a result, no more heat transfer takes place and the cooler
outdoor air is brought into the home.
During the summer months, the free-cooling function offers maximum
comfort with minimal energy consumption and is not comparable to the
effect of air conditioning. During spring or autumn, the bypass can be
used in order to heat the home when the outdoor temperature is higher
than the indoor temperature. This is the automatic
free-heating
mode of
the bypass functioning.
