WARNING

The window unit must be correctly 

installed, fastened and sealed after 

servicing or serious bodily injury and/or 

damage to the appliance may result. 
To ensure a safe operation: 

• Double-check that the top of the window 

frame is correctly installed;

• Verify that the spring-loaded latches are 

hooked properly to the four window tabs 

then;

• Pull out the top of the window and release 

it to insure the springs return it; repeat 

with the bottom of the window;

• Ensure the window is sealed before 

operation.

WARNING

Failure to install the window correctly can: 

• Leak carbon monoxide.
• Affect the performance of the fireplace.
• Damage components.
• Cause overheating resulting in dangerous 

conditions.

Damage caused by incorrect window 

installation is not covered by the Valor 

Warranty.

Window Re-Installation

 Reinstall and Check Window

To reinstall the window: 
1.  Place the top window frame tabs above the 

fi

 rebox 

and push against the 

fi

 rebox, ensuring it’s centered 

left to right.

2.  The window is secured by four spring-loaded latches 

which hook to tabs on each side of the frame. 

While holding the top of the window to the 

fi

 rebox, 

hook the top two latches to the frame’s top tabs. 

Repeat with the bottom tabs and latches.

3.  Pull and release the top of the window frame to 

ensure the spring-loaded mechanism returns the 

window to the 

fi

 rebox. Repeat with the bottom of 

the window.

4. Apply 

fi

 rm hand pressure around window frame to 

make sure window is sealed tight against 

fi

 rebox.

install it by sliding it between the glass and the 

frame as indicated.
