Installation instructions geoTHERM VWS/VWW 0020051574_01
• Connect the power supply to the principal mains feed
(
3
). This provides a unit-internal supply to the com-
pressor and controller
• Connect the external heating circuit pump (to be pro-
vided on the customer side) (
4
).
h
Note
The following applies for an external/
customer side heating circuit pump:
I
max
= 2 A; U
max
= 230 V
If these values are exceeded, the heating
circuit pump must be wired up via a
relay/contactor on the customer side.
If you wish to connect an auxiliary heating system (to be
provided on the customer side):
a
Caution!
Danger of overloading!
The maximum power of the auxiliary
heating must not exceed 3 x 3 kW
(3 x 13 A). The electrical auxiliary heat-
ing must be protected on the customer
side by a non self-resetting thermal cut-
out that provides all-pole disconnection.
• Connect the power supply to the auxiliary heating (
1
).
Connect the auxiliary heating yourself (
2
).
Install a safety thermostat (STB) (to be provided on
the customer side) for the auxiliary heating.
• Connect the ripple control signal relay to terminal 12,
"EVU" (see Fig 6.6), if required by the power compa-
ny. The heat pump is blocked with this signal when the
contact is closed.
For VWW only:
• Connect the immersion pump (
7
).
• Adjust the thermal overcurrent relay for the immer-
sion pump (see Fig. 5.1, Pos.
5
) to match the current
of your immersion pump. Adjust the switch-off current
so that it is 10 % higher than the rated current of your
immersion pump.
If you wish to connect a cooling system (to be provided
on the customer side):
• Connect the 3-way mixer valve for the heating/cooling
system (
8
).
You will find an overview of the complete wiring dia-
gram in the appendix.
