Select a Group

Follow these steps to enter/edit the group name.
1. The current name displays with the first character of the name highlighted.
2. Rotate the Scroll Control to select a new first letter. Press
[6]
to move one character to the right. Repeat the
Scroll Control
action to change the character. To move one character to the left, press
[4]
.
3. Repeat Step 2 until you have entered the system name. Then press

to accept the setting.
Notes:
•
Each group name can be up to 16 characters. Abbreviate as necessary to fit.
•
The group and system (for conventional, SCAT, and LTR systems) or site (for Motorola and EDACS systems) name
alternate in the top line of the display when the scanner stops on a channel.
•

twice to delete the current character.
•
Press
[.No]
three times to clear the entire alpha tag.

- the group is scanned. The default setting is
