STEP NO. 3 – VERIFY ATOMIZER ARRAY PLACEMENT
(Continued)
Take the floor area 1197 ft
2
(111.26 m
2
) divided by the
number of atomizers 8 equals 149.63 ft
2
(13.91 m
2
) per
atomizer. The atomizer spacing is then calculated as in
Example 1 by taking the square root of 149.63 ft
2
(13.91
m
2
), which equals 12.23 ft (3.73 m). The area covered by
the first five atomizers is 748.15 ft
2
(69.54 m
2
). Divide this
value by the room width of 28.5 ft (8.69 m) and 26.25 ft (8.0
m) is the length of the room covered by the first five atomiz-
ers. The atomizers may now be laid out graphically by
drawing a line across the room at the 26.25 ft (8.0 m)
across the width of the room. Draw diagonals from the
corners and then draw a circle of radius (L) 12.23 ft (3.73
m) centered at the intersection of the diagonals. An
atomizer is then located at each of the intersections. The
pattern of eight is then complete by adding another three
atomizers spaced the same as the first five. If this is done
right, two atomizers will be located on the centerline of the
room in both the length and width directions.
