13.3. Handling of connection errors
If connection errors appear or if the command with improper parameter is sent, response of the device is
described by MODBUS standard. Possible return error codes are:
1 = unknown command - when the command other than 3 or 6 is sent,
2 = wrong address - the address of the register is not supported by the drive (there is no such register),
3 = wrong value - command 6 tried to send value which is out of range of specified register
In case of wrong transfer (e.g. CRC error) device does not send answers to commands.
14. Maintenance
When installed, the use of the converter in accordance with its specifications is not often required periodic
service. The cleanliness of the heatsink and fan as well as the condition of the cable connections require attention
electrical wiring, in particular the PE protective conductor. The drive inspection schedule is shown in table 14.1.
Before starting maintenance work it is obligatory:
•
disconnect the converter from all supply voltage sources (supply circuit, control circuits),
•
make sure that there are no dangerous voltages on the connection terminals,
•
wait 30 minutes (this is the time needed for the internal DC link capacitors to discharge and the inverter has
cooled down).
If maintenance work requires the housing to be disassembled, make sure it is not present voltage in the internal DC
circuit.

Heatsink
A large amount of dirt deposited on the heat sink weakens
heat dissipation and may trigger operation
thermal protection of the converter. Cleaning the heat sink can
can be carried out with compressed, clean and dry air
additionally using a vacuum cleaner that catches dirt.
Not less than 12 months
1)
Fan
Increased fan noise and reduced performance work proves the need
to replace it.
Replacement fans are available from ZE TWERD.
Do not use any spare parts other than those recommended by ZE
TWERD.
Condition of electrical
connections
Checking the condition of the power circuit connections and control
circuits.
Check the tightness of the cable clamps and whether it is not present
corrosion.
Particular attention should be paid to the PE conductor.
1)
Maintenance should be performed regularly with a frequency depending on the degree of use of the converter
and environmental conditions (e.g. dust, vibration).
Terms of warranty
The frequency converter is covered by the warranty in accordance with the information contained in the
warranty card. The manufacturer is not responsible liability for defects caused by transport, improper use, faulty
installation, inappropriate environmental conditions (e.g. temperature, humidity, presence of corrosive agents) and as a
result of exceeding rated parameters.
